I have a one bedroom apartment at Smith's Landing that I need to move out of ASAP (I will try to be flexible, especially if you need a January 1 move-in option). The apartment complex is wonderful (easily the nicest place I have ever lived). The staff are friendly and helpful (I am only leaving because I need hip surgery and won't be able to live alone for several months, and they provided information about this site to help me advertise my place).You will need to apply to qualify* (I can provide the application) and your options are:(a) take over my current lease that ends June 30, 2015 (my preference, and you'll have the option of re-signing with Smith's Landing for next year)(b) sublet my apartment through June when the lease ends (contingent on discussion/agreement with me)*Assuming it is the same as when I moved in two years ago, the application has a $250 fee, but if you pay it, get approved, and move into my apartment before February 1, I will reimburse it in hopes I have someone move in more quickly!Apartment Specifics for my unit:-One bedroom/one bathroom unit with balcony-Large shower with sliding door-Includes closet in bedroom, coat closet, and a LOT of cabinet space in the kitchen I use for storage-Maple Cabinets and Vanities with Brushed Nickel Hardware-Black Appliances (refrigerator w/icemaker, oven, microwave, dishwasher)-Plantation Blinds-Plush Carpet-Breakfast Bar-Washer & Dryer IN UNIT(hard to find in Blacksburg)-Ceramic Style Flooring in Kitchen & Baths-In-Home Monitored Alarm System-Computer Desk-Balcony or PatioOther Apartment Points of Interest:-the internet/television package is required ($55 a month) but works well (I stream most of my television through Netflix and Hulu) and any outages are quickly addressed by staff; television is DishTV and comes with basic channels with upgrade option-sewer/water/trash fees appear on monthly statement with rent and are paid to Smith's Landing with the rent-electric is paid to Appalachian Power and is fairly priced (these buildings are new, so I have noticed my bills are lower than other places I have lived in the past)They also provide:Cardio & Strength Training Fitness Studio with Free WeightsCommunity Clubroom with Wi-Fi & Coffee Bar24 Hour Wi-Fi CenterTanning BedsCovered Bike StoragePicnic & Grilling AreasWalking TrailAmple ParkingPet Friendly (cats/dogs subject to approval)24 Hour Emergency MaintenanceProfessional On-site Leasing StaffHere's a link to the floor plan for my unit:
