This rental only comes on the market every 5 or 6 years. It is usually rented to community members who stay for quite a while. This is one of the few year-round homes on the West Side of Cayuga Lake with direct dock access and free use of recreational kayaks and paddleboard. The home has some of the best views of the lake in all seasons, and, best of all, it is only 5 minutes from downtown Ithaca, 12 minutes to Cass Park, and with direct access to The Black Diamond Trail. If you love living on the lake year-round, you will want to stay at this place forever. This beautiful, colorful, and very cute cottage is very well-maintained. The cottage is about 900 square feet: two bedrooms, one upstairs, one downstairs (the one upstairs has a huge 5x5 foot window looking onto the lake (where you can watch lake and bird activity alike), a renovated bathroom, cute kitchen (with gas stove) and updated cabinets, living room with doors that go out onto a large deck overlooking the lake. One off-road parking spot reserved just for this place. Washer and dryer in the basement. Own yard. Beautiful sunrises! And best of all, FREE use of kayaks and paddleboard. The house is located on the same premises as the owner's house, but with enough space and trees to feel absolutely independent. This means that we care about this home as if it were our own, and we therefore do not allow pets or smoking (no exceptions-please do not inquire). Please note that there are lots of steps. And the rental is not ideal for tall people, and we will not rent to more than 2 individuals. Rental can begin as of February 1st, but the move-in date is negotiable (can be earlier or later). This is a full-year rental, and we are seeking someone wishing to stay for several years. Please do not inquire for short term rental or Airbnb. Rent is $2470.- and it includes trash and water.
