Thus conventional construction of timber frame and plaster was improved upon by necessity with steel beam and fireproof ceilings made of undulating arched brick waves. The conversion to residences employed architectural NY SOHO-style motifs: suspended duct work to convey dedicated heating and cooling systems to each unit.
