Property was sold for 156K...Zillow's reports were not accurate because they never take into consideration certain important things, such as comparing the sale price of nearby houses which were inland -and not waterfront- with mine, which is in the island and is a waterfront house. I think that Zillow does not render a good service neither to the seller, nor to the buyer...for all Zillow does is an estimate of the sale prices in the surrounding area, without really taking into consideration specific data related to each indivudual property! I will never post anything in the Zillow page... Zillow is out of touch with reality!!! And what is worst, once you post something, you can't take it out! It's like you lost your freedom. In my honest opinion, Zillow diserves the public and does more harm than good to the seller (and also to the prospective buyer.) One person, who owned a boat and wanted a waterfront property, read the estimated price of my property on the Zillow page, and tried to wrestle the price down using Zillow as the guideline. I told him, "Good luck with that, pal! Let Zillow find you an equivalent to this property at the price they claim mine costs, but I am not selling it lower than what my real estate agent estimated to be a fair price. Well, thanks to Zillow, he lost the chance to get my property because someone else came along and bought it for the realistic price. The other two properties around mine were selling for way more money than mine. After he realized that my price was very competitive, he came back with an offer, only to find out that the FOR SALE sign on the front yard had another sign that read "UNDER CONTRACT." My advice to everyone is to go to a local Real Estate agent. They REALLY know the actual prices of the houses in the neighborhood your house is located. It does not make sense that someone in a far away state who has never been in your area posts an estimate saying how much your property is worth! I will never, ever put any of my porperties in the Zillow page again! They service leaves much to be desired! In fact, Zillow ZUCKS! BIG TIME! Neighborhood Description Extremely quiet and sfae. There is no crime. Houses across the street are very expensive since they face the big Niagara River.
