When we moved into the house in May 2011, the house had a new roof and had been completely redone inside: new drywall, new wiring, new pipes. All of the windows were also pretty new. Since May 2011, we have completed the following upgrades: • Added a bathroom on the main floor • Attic: Added a dormer, built a stairway to the attic from the upstairs hallway, finished the attic: spray foam insulation, wiring, drywall, heaters, etc. • Replaced the green aluminum siding with yellow PVC siding • Basement: removed an old fuel barrel and other barrel; poured concrete on the part of the basement that was still a dirt floor; put in new windows; sprayed foam insulation on the rim joists and walls • Flooring: new wood floors on main level; new flooring in kitchen and porch; new flooring in upstairs hallway and bathroom • Bedrooms: installed ceiling fans • Outside: added a deck, plus an awning. Created a patio. Planted bushes, flowers, and other gardening. Added a garden shed. • Kitchen: converted the laundry area to a pantry; added wiring and plumbing to upstairs bathroom for washer and dryer. Installed pull-out shelves in cabinets. Added a skylight in the kitchen. • Removed back part of wall in walk-in closet to connect it to closet in master bedroom • Installed a mast and three antennas on roof, connected to the central video cable system • Fall of 2021: new roof on garage
