The Home This is a four-bedroom, one bath home in the Heart of Sellwood. On the main floor is the kitchen, living room, dining room, master bedroom, bathroom, kitchen nook, and mudroom. Outside the master bedroom is a backyard deck. This same deck also extends off the breakfast nook in the kitchen. Upstairs, there are three small bedrooms, one of which has been used as an office in the past. Also, there is a small front porch, and terraced patio area out back. The laundry room is located in the basement. Sellwood If you are not familiar with the charm and uniqueness of Sellwood, take some time to explore this place, and all that it has to offer on the web. Our home is in a peaceful, quiet neighborhood in the heart of Sellwood, located just 1 block from the Sellwood Park and, only a couple blocks from Oaks Bottom and the Willamette River. The Spring Water bike path is two blocks away and it's only a 15-minute bike ride into downtown Portland/OHSU Waterfront. Those who work in Portland would never have to get in their car if desired! Reed College and Lewis and Clark College are also only a 20-minute bike ride away. A five-minute walk from home leads to a trailhead that overlooks the city lights to the north and leads down to a 140-acre wooded wetland, home to over 150 species of birds and a nice nature walk that is approximately a 3-mile loop. Living here year-round is wonderful! We have music, parks, boating, swimming, picnicking, quaint shops, a huge variety of restaurants, New Season's, a library it really is one of the most walkable places in Portland. I am a few blocks away from a couple of bus lines that take you straight into downtown Portland. The Orange Line on the Max Train is only 10 blocks away. Sellwood is one of the best neighborhoods in Portland!! This is a community-oriented neighborhood with people who are fun, like-minded, earth friendly, and generous at the drop of a hat. My wife and I are looking for someone, who is willing to receive a substantial decrease in rent of our home in Sellwood. Rather than rent our home for $2850 a month, we have chosen to decrease our rent so that we can continue with our Airbnb in the detached studio out back. The rent would be discounted $500, making it $2350 each month. In return, you would be financially responsible for the cost of utilities to run the Airbnb which ranges between $35 and $50 each month. It would be a net savings in rent of over $400.00. We would also be asking you to turn over our Airbnb (cleaning and restocking it after each use) and be paying you $40 for each turn over. Each turn over takes an average of one hour to complete. There is an average of 6 turn overs each month which would bring your total saving to over $600 per rent period!
