The Home: Technically a 2BR, but there's a bonus room/office that's pulling full-time bedroom duty right now (no closet, but lots of charm) Front and back porches for sunrise coffee or sunset unwinding Small backyard with strawberry patch and the most low-maintenance cherry tomatoes you'll ever meet Partially furnished for a cozy head start (or bring your own style) Features & Perks: Electric stove, built-in microwave, dishwasher, new fridge plus a holiday-backup-fridge in the basement (you know, for Thanksgiving overflow) Washer/dryer in unit Central vacuum system (your dust bunnies just got nervous) Greentek whole-house ventilation system + high-efficiency construction Baseboard heat, no AC (but it's Vermont, you'll survive) 2 parking spots + guest parking available The Community: Champlain Valley Cohousing is not your typical neighborhood think shared community gardens, dog run, kid-friendly playground, a swimming pond (!), and a communal yurt. Friendly neighbors, occasional potlucks, and a setting designed for connection and sustainability. We like to keep things simple: water's on us, and we cover the community dues that help keep the roads plowed and the trails maintained. You'll take care of gas, electric, internet, and any other utility adventures you choose to embark on. We do ask for last month's rent at signing. No smoking, please. Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Tenants are responsible for basic upkeep of both indoor and outdoor spaces that means things like mowing the lawn, changing smoke detector batteries, and generally keeping things looking lived-in (in a good way). And since this is a tight-knit neighborhood, we ask that our tenants follow community guidelines around quiet hours and being a good neighbor basically, don't be the reason I have to bake someone cookies as a peace offering!
