The property is located in the Deering Highlands area of Portland, it is close to schools (Longfellow, Lincoln and Deering), a short drive to Downtown Portland and the Old Port, and a short walk to Woodford's Corner for restaurants, a bakery, an art store and more. Baxter Boulevard, Baxter Woods, Evergreen Cemetery and various Portland Trails are also close by and offer wonderful walking, hiking, jogging and biking opportunities. The neighborhood is friendly to both people and pets; and is a gardener's delight. The apartment includes off-street parking for two mid-sized cars (large trucks would not fit). Pets to be considered on an individual basis. The apartment is equipped for an optional gas log fireplace that is not currently installed. One of the bedrooms has built-in A/C. The property is owner-occupied by a family with a child and a medium sized dog who live upstairs. Pets are welcome and will be considered on an individual basis. A pet deposit per pet is required; some pets may require an additional deposit or agreement. Non-smokers only. Lease amount includes water and sewer, tenant will be responsible for electric, natural gas and cable/internet. Utility costs will very depending upon use, provider and subscriptions. The current tenant averaged $75/mo for natural gas and $50/mo for electricity. Landlord takes care of the yard care and uses a snowblower to clear the driveway and sidewalks. Unless otherwise agreed upon, tenant will do some minimal shoveling of their porch/stairs and clearing snow off their cars. The front porch will be primarily used by the tenant.
