Tropical Sands Resort is centrally located near many tourist attractions including the beach, great restaurants, the Thomas Edison Home, and spring training for major league baseball. Bowditch Point Park, Lynn Hall Memorial Park, Mound House, Mound Key Archaeological State Park, Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve, Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center, and Wonder Gardens are also nearby. The beach is 1 1/2 blocks away through a public path across Estero Blvd from the resort. There is a bird sanctuary there and the shelling is usually very good. The front office is open Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. Pool hours are from 9:00 am to 10:00pm, and gym hours are 9:00 am to 4:30pm. Although rare, there is potential for noise. Daily maid service is not provided; however, if you are staying for longer than one week, the Housekeeping Staff will do a stay-over cleaning service for you. Weekly room cleanings on Saturdays are conducted. Pets are not allowed. Smoking and parties are not allowed. The minimum age requirement is 23. A state identification card or driver's license copy will be requested upon booking.
