The cottage is about 21 miles from St Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham, an easy drive.

The primary bedroom has a queen bed, tv and a lovely view of the creek. The second bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin up top, double below and a twin trundle!
There is a couch in the loft to enjoy even more space for tv watching, a nap or play space for the kids.
The Blue Heron Hideaway can be your base while you explore the amazing things to do near and far. Walking and biking are perfect in this community but there are also some great hikes, and bird watching opportunities. The nearby town of Blaine offers a working marina where you can see pleasure boats and fishing and crab boats coming and going.
Back in Birch Bay or in nearby Semiahmoo you can take out your kayak or paddle board and enjoy time on these shallow waters . While you are honing your skills you can take in the sights of the Cascade Mountain Range, Canadian Gulf Islands, Canadian mainland and North Shore Mountains, Mt Baker and the Sisters Range. As you float, drive or walk, new vistas open up and reveal the beauty near and far!
Hours can be spent on the tidelands at low tides, searching for creatures or digging for shellfish (check out the regulations, season and what you need to bring before you arrive!) Relax on the beach drinking in the view and breathing the salty sea air.
This sweet cottage is just over five miles away from I5 which gives you access to Bellingham to the south, and Canada just fifteen minutes north!
We supply the cottage with everything that you need - hangers, linens, towels, dishes, silverware, cookware, coffee makers, etc. All you really need to bring are your clothes, workout gear (if that's your thing,) and food (though nearby grocery stores and restaurants abound!)
