This unique arched "A-frame" 2 story cabin was completely renovated in 2017-2018 and located just 8 miles west of Government Camp. Upstairs contains a large dorm with two queen beds, a private bedroom with one queen bed, and a full bath with glass, porcelain tile and stone shower. The Delta True Temp shower hardware and tankless water heater makes for hours of hot showers while enjoying the view or catching snowflakes from the shower's wood awning window. A small balcony off the upstairs dorm room adds a viewpoint and snowball launch zone. The dorm room has one lodgepole bed and one stump bed all handmade on location with wood from the property. There is a locking "owners closet" upstairs with crawl access only (right side of upstairs bathroom). Downstairs, you'll find all true, thick, leather Pottery Barn furniture including a full size sofa, loveseat and two full size distressed leather chairs. Hand peeled stumps for living-room end-tables are all from downed trees off the property. An excellent efficient Quadra-Heat wood stove with built-in fan resides in the living-room as well. A 9' long solid reclaimed pine table, bench and chairs under a custom hand-made, reclaimed wood chandelier seats up to 10 in the dining area. In the kitchen, you'll find a second fireplace at waist height that is great for indoor cooking. Next to the fireplace is a large island with undercounter Summit fridge/freezer and storage. The kitchen has its own tankless water heater, concrete countertop, propane stove, electric convection oven/microwave, single drawer dishwasher and a large copper sink. The downstairs full bath has a solid volcanic limestone soaker tub beneath a custom wood awning window. The bath vanity has a copper bowl sink on a concrete countertop with drawers and storage. A recovered horse drawn wagon bridal holds the lighting surrounding the mirror. Wrapping up the downstairs is a larger lockable "owners closet" tucked behind the leather wrapped spiral staircase. The lights in or on this structure are LEDs and most are dimmable. All windows are new handmade vertical hemlock mortise and tenon replicas of the original wood windows. We added wood screens on the windows that open and a wood sash glass door to the upstairs exterior balcony. Front and rear lower cedar decks are in excellent condition. All exterior non-painted wood is oiled each year.
