Welcome to our fully restored and renovated 1903 Creole Cottage in the Lower Garden District. Our home features a private, brick paved garden, updated interior finishes, fixtures, appliances, systems, and details throughout. Pets are very welcome with no additional rent or deposit. Upon entry on the main level, is a bright dining room and kitchen with the original brick fireplace and solid wood flooring. The kitchen features high end appliances, hardware and finishes with a gas range, dishwasher, microwave hood, and large stainless steel refrigerator/freezer. Behind the kitchen is a brass and emerald green bathroom with ceramic tile shower and floor, touch sensitive vanity lighting, and three phase ventilation. Next to the bath is an enclosed space with a stacked washer/dryer. Beyond is a spacious, high ceiling living room with a modern brass chandelier and a marbleized concrete floor. The space opens directly to the rear garden. Adjacent is a ceramic tiled primary suite that also opens directly to the garden. The primary bedroom can accommodate a king bed and features a modern brass chandelier, a private full bath and dressing area with a closet and wardrobe. Upstairs, our home has two additional bedrooms with solid hardwood floors and large walk in closets. The larger can accommodate a queen bed and the smaller can accommodate a double bed. Each has natural light via the traditional creole cottage dormers. Each bedroom has a large walk in closet. The upper level also features a large attic storage space. The home is very dog friendly with a fully enclosed yard. We welcome four legged family members without any additional deposit. Parking is on the street, but always available right in front. Traditional shutters are installed on all main level windows and doors for security during any storm. We are fortunate to have our home in one of the rare high and dry areas of New Orleans, protected from flooding. Heating and cooling are controlled through a Nest thermostat which can connect via wifi to any computer or smartphone. Our neighbors are kind, helpful, and friendly. It is a perfect slice of New Orleans surrounded by modern and traditional homes, warehouses filled with Mardi Gras floats, blocks from St Charles and Magazine Street, streets filled with film and tv productions, amazing food, and incredible people. You'll also notice that our home also has a separate studio apartment, 741 St James. This we maintain as our own second home which we only use a few times a year. We offer our home unfurnished, but it can be furnished for an additional $300 per month. Furnishings would include all that are currently in the home with the exception of towels, mattresses, and bedding. Move in date is flexible and showings are possible between May 16th to May 21st.
