Neighborhood Description The neighborhood was developed in the 1920's by Walter Leimert. Nearly all the houses are unique. Utilities have been put underground on Longridge and the street lights are consistent with the period the neighborhood was developed. Streets were laid out by the Olmstead Brothers, the same people who laid out Central Park in New York City. The streets follow the contours of the land.
