Designed and built by Jim DeLong, student of F.L.Wright, sits on top of Mt. Washington, minutes away from downtown L.A., yet set in the trees with views of the sunrise and sunset. Dine on the upper balcony deck at mid-tree level. Close to highly rated Mt. Washington Elementary School but not too close to hear the children at recess. End of cul de sac. Neighborhood Description We are located at the top of Mt. Washington, north of Self Realization Fellowship facilities. The hill is green with pine and walnut trees, about 1,000 feet above sea level, with views east to the San Gabriel Valley, and west to Hollywood and Griffith Park, Century City. The population is very mixed - liberal, artists/performers, animal lovers, teachers, and some local politicians. The only ways up here are winding roads, no thoroughfares no traffic lights. We even have a long dirt road for walks, with local community provided benches.
