    This home was architecturally designed and constructed as a 2-story English cottage in 1928. It was sited on one of the first lots to be developed, because it fronted on a 42 acre spring-fed naturally-formed lake named Otter Pond. The addition and total remodeling was completed in 1988, including all new wiring and plumbing. Outside walls are covered with oversized sawn cedar shingles over one inch thick solid yellow pine. All exterior facing walls and ceilings have ¾ inch aluminum-clad foam insulation board under the drywall with fiberglass battens between the studs and joists. The roof was installed in 2009 with 24 inch, 5 inch reveal, premium cedar sawn shingles, which are pressure treated to resist rot and retard fire.
