    Our one-story 2 bedroom 2 bath house and our one-story 1 bedroom 1 bath cabin are made for entertaining. There are almost 10 acres of level land with over a 1000 ft. of trout creek flowing thru it. When we have visitors, they stay in the cabin, wake up when they want, make their own meals and watch TV or use the Internet before doing things with us. The cabin could be an excellent rental property or caretaker home. The interiors of our house and cabin are all on the same floor. There are no stairs inside. Both my wife and I are retirees. We do not have to go up and down stairs so at the end of the day our knees do not hurt. We have two systems for putting chemical-free water into the house and cabin: a 120 ft. deep well and a spring-fed well. There is also a PVC pipe from the spring-fed pond that supplies water to all the gardens and pasture using gravity, not a pump. Owning both sides of a 1,000 ft. of trout creek was one of the main reasons we bought this place. No one can build, park an RV or trailer on the other side. We have total privacy. No one is here but us doing whatever we want to do. Cooling off in the creek after working outside during the summer is something I do a couple times a day. Or I go for a nice swim in the pond. It is nice to have options! Having a level pasture and land around our buildings is a real plus when mowing and gardening. We have one of the few places in this area that is not up and down and sideways. :-) Zillow's Zestimate is inaccurate and out of date. Our property was assessed in Oct. 2017 by a Gilmer County Tax Assessor's representative. The new assessment is $330,050. I requested Zillow to update their estimate. Their representative said they can not do it. That does not make sense, but I am not here to argue. There are many other areas that do not fit into the categories used to estimate the value of this unique property. Please do not be influenced by a system that really does not calculate the true value of owning and living on a special place like this one. Come and visit and see for yourself.
