Phillips 66 Superintendent Eden and his wife built this house,4 blocks north of the U.S.Courthouse in Okmulgee,OK in 1927 as he had completed the construction of the Phillips 66 Refinery 3 blocks North of this small cottage home, one block south of the original Vierson Oil Company Mansion. The Edens' resided in this small cottage home until retirement. Original solid wood front door and key, hardwood floors, Windsor Fireplace, double flu,(working),large living room, dutch kitchen, concrete stem wall, separate garage, energy efficient. The northeast corner lot at the intersection of North Morton Avenue and Trent Street, 5 blocks north of the Federal Building, Police Headquarters, and The Historical Capitol of The Muscogee (Creek) Nation. Diagonally across the avenue/street intersection from The Hart Mansion built by Ben Hart, founder of the 1st National Bank of Dallas,TX and 1st National Bank of Muskogee,OK, and across the street east of the Wheatly Mansion, a brownstone, built by a City Engineer and manager of City government. This geographical area of the United States was ordered into Statehood early by then U.S.President Theodore Roosevelt in an attempt to lower the high price of crude oil, whichwas $100.00 per 42 gallon barrel since 1885 and was causing a world-wide economicdepression. Due to plentiful and abundant and easily accessable mineral resources, then President Theodore Roosevelt, a genuine War Hero, transformed from Territorial legal status to Statehood legal status after a Presidental Census of 1907, to help lower the price of crude oil, which had caused a world wide economic depression. Interestingly, then President Theodore Roosevelt, the Cowboy President, was not permitted to run for re-election by the New York Republican Party controllers which were the same crude oil speculators wanting him out of the Presidency. Those three crude oil speculators andbankers were John D. Rockefeller, Samuel Chase, and J.P. Morgan of New York City. So Theodore formed his own political party and ran as a' Bull Moose'. His actions as Chief Executive did, however, result in oil's per barrel price dropping to 'two-bits' or fifty cents per barrel by the year 1910, and a very expansive and worldwide economic business boom lasting many years after the former President's death at 60 years of age of arthritis pain. The maternal Grandfather of present U.S.Senator John McCain (Arizona), made so much money in The Indian Territory near Okmulgee prior to Statehood, that he never had to work again, and U.S.Senator McCain still receives over $187,000.00 per year from his Maternal Grandfather's Estate, all made in The Indian Territory from when the price of crude oilhad dropped dramatically. Okmulgee County in 1920 produced more crude oil accordingto official records, than the entire State of Texas did in 2003! John Mabee, andJ.Paul Getty were just two individuals that were made millionaires from the Morris OilField and the Glenpool oil field. All U.S. Presidents since Theodore Roosevelt had andused their legal authority to Order the price of Crude oil down, except Jimmy Carter, whotook the price control off crude oil, resulting in a doubling of the price of gasoline in onemonth, AND costing Carter his job as President when he was fired by the voters. PresidentRonald Regan immediately put crude oil back on price contro by Executive Order the firstweek he was in office, which helped the U.S.economy recover dramatically under Regan. Former President Theodore Roosevelt was a genuine war hero ground soldier in the U.S.Army and the only individual the serve as U.S.President ever to be an awardee of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his actions in ground combat in the U.S.Army. Awarded subsequent to his demise by arthritis at sixty years of age. Both of his sons were killed in World Wars. Theodore was the main organizer in promoting and establishing the National Geographic Society, and establishin
