Cute furnished room in an apartment on the top two floors of a Victorian house in Takoma DC. We are looking for a woman to share the top floor (which has 2 bedrooms and a spacious full bathroom) with a studious female University of Maryland student. So you each have your own bedroom and share the bathroom. There's also a full bathroom one floor down that everyone can use, as well as a shared kitchen and living/dining room area. Rent includes utilities: gas, electric, water, Wi-Fi, as well as monthly cleaning. There's a TV with a Firestick and whatever subscriptions I happen to have (eg Netflix, Amazon Prime). You'd be welcome to add your own. We are two blocks from Takoma Metro -- a short Red Line ride to Union Station, one stop to Silver Spring. There's ample on-street parking and an off-street option. Share the kitchen, bathrooms, and living room. The neighborhood is known for tall trees, old houses, a couple of weekly farmers markets, restaurants, coffee shops, yoga studios, Aikido dojo, etc. There's a Safeway about a 10 minute walk away, and a WholeFoods is supposed to open this winter, about the same distance. There's also the Takoma Silver Spring Food Coop, which is more like a 20 minute walk, but a real gem of a health food store. Short-term lease is OK, tho my preference is for a 4 month lease at least (and then month-to-month). Available January 1.
