With only about 20 lots on this private, non-motorboat lake (Montgomery Lake), it is an exceedingly peaceful spot, where swimming, boating and fishing, as well as time shared with family and friends, is king. The house is down a narrow wooded road, and a short set of steps leads to the front door and to the single level of living quarters. It should be mentioned that the basement occupies the full lower level, and while unfinished, is walk-out, and is a prime candidate for finishing and essentially doubling the usable square footage. At the heart of the house is an open plan living room, kitchen and dining area, with two 8 foot glass sliders that look out at the lake and open onto a long deck. So the water is a presence whether indoors or out. The kitchen has an island that also serves as a breakfast bar, but there is plenty of space for a larger dining table to accommodate your crew. Three nicely-sized bedrooms are down the hall, and the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower. There is a second full bathroom off the hallway which has a tub/shower. Blue Heron Lakehouse is truly a four season home. The property offers myriad winter activities right outside the back door. The lake freezes solid, and with some snow shoveling, skating can be a wonderful outdoor pursuit. And after the first snow, cross country skiing is also top notch on the lake and in the nearby woods. If downhill is your thing, Ski Big Bear is only about 20 minutes away. This property is less than ten minutes to Barryville, and the Delaware River.
