Original 1763 historic home (intact) with additions built on in later 1700s and large (main home) addition in 1853. Other additions may be more recent. Original home was stone; newer parts are stucco-over-stone (but we are taking the stucco off - beautiful stone underneath.) as an older home it has lots (10+) fireplaces and great old radiators that keep the house very warm. The flag-lot (long driveway) gives extreme privacy to the home yet 3 minute walk to town, restaurants, shops, and the best school in Bucks County. Neighborhood Description Great neighborhood with a very nice mix of people from all walks of life - some young families, mature families and, more recently, some younger retirees (in the condos near by). solebury is a very wealthy area and New Hope is a very artistic (and wealthy, too) town, so this neighborhood (right on the border between them) is the best of both. You are a 5 minute walk from modern shops (i.e., a Hardware store, drug stores, Staples, McDonalds, grocery stores, Wawa) and 10 minute walk to all the cool restaurants and shops in New Hope (and the Starbucks). Definitely try the Triumph Brewery (both the food and the beer are great - my wife's favorite restaurant and she doesn't drink beer). Also 10 minute walk to the Delaware River - great to walk/ride your bike down the Delaware canal's towpath - right along the river. If there isn't enough there, walk 5 more minutes past New Hope (over the bridge) and you are in Lambertville NJ with all the great shops and restaurants there. You could spend a year going to a new fun restaurant every weekend and still not run out of choices within 20 minutes walking distance (5 minutes in a car, but why drive?)
