This home was built to a much higher standard than normally found in today's newer homes. Step inside this home and you can see and feel the difference. Seriously. Approx. Room measurements: MBR: 69" between the two narrow windows. Room is 11'3" wide and 12'4" from narrow windows to BR door. Second BR: 10'1" X 9'7" Living Room: 14'5" X 11'4" Sunroom: 11'3" X 8'3" Breezeway interior is 3'11" X 30' length ALL ceilings are flat, not vaulted, including the garage. The listed square footage for the house of 1364 sq ft does NOT include the breezeway, mechanical room or oversized garage. The home was completed in April of 2019, and is on about 2.3 acres with 2 BR/1.75 Baths, a living room, kitchen, dining area, sunroom, laundry room and an enclosed breezeway to the attached oversized single car garage and mechanical room. The breezeway connects the garage with the house. It is unheated except for residual heat from the hydronic in floor heat tubing. The breezeway is a great cool/colder storage space, about 30' long and 4' interior width. The almost panoramic views are phenomenal. Star watching is especially nice from the sunroom. Mountain views from every window. Additional features of this home include: In floor hydronic heat, with 5 zones (one of which is located in the garage) minimizes dust while keeping the home quite comfortable. We built this home using non toxic materials, hence it is solid wood construction - no formaldehyde, no particle board anywhere except for some shelving out in the mechanical room and the edging on the kitchen counter. Wool insulation in the walls and cellulose spray in insulation under the roof. It's really a solid home. On the exterior of the home there is a metal roof and LP Smart Siding. Sierra Pacific Wisconsin windows. A 1000 gallon propane tank is underground. Also out back is the private well, and a septic tank on the other side of the house. There are rain gutters and a rain guard surrounding the base of the home. Multiple outdoor water spigots and electric outlets. The electric meter is at the road, not attached to the house. There is a utility sink in the mechanical room and additional hot and cold water spigots in the garage. The water for the cold spigot in the garage runs through the water softener to minimize water spots when washing vehicles. There is space for RV parking with an outside electric outlet and water spigots close by. Nine foot ceilings make the home feel quite spacious. All doorways are approx. 35" wide, except the doorway from the master bedroom to the master bathroom, which is 32.5". Dutch door to the sunroom. Reverse Osmosis at the kitchen sink. Fire doors to the garage and mechanical room (That's what happens when you have a builder who is meticulous about everything and has also been a volunteer firefighter. Couldn't ask for a better builder than him.) The oversized single car garage has the same insulation as the house, in floor hydronic heat, finished walls and baseboard, with an unfinished concrete floor. It also has two windows and an exterior back door out of the garage. Fiber optic internet cable to the house, then the interior of the home is wired with ethernet. There are four ethernet ports. There is also an Ufer ground. A switch outside the door to the master bedroom can be used to turn off all power to the bedroom for more restful sleeping. This does not affect the in floor hydronic heat, since there is no electricity in that area needed to maintain the heat. The house is wired with MC Cable. It makes a difference. With lower utility bills, neutral paint colors, knotty alder custom doors and barn doors --- this really is an outstanding home, one that needs to be viewed in person to truly appreciate and see all it has to offer.
What the owner loves about this home
I love everything about my home, but if I could only pick three things to mention, they would be: (1) I love how quiet this home is. It's almost always windy in Wyoming, but I rarely hear the wind. (2) I love the mountain views from every room, especially the almost panoramic view from my kitchen, sunroom and dining area windows. Just stunningly beautiful. (3) I love my kitchen. The kitchen windows extend across the exterior wall. The seasonal changes on the mountains are gorgeous to watch while cooking or doing dishes. There are only lower cabinets, which are all drawers of different sizes. So easy to find what I'm looking for. Then I have a closet pantry and a built-in pantry with pull out shelves. All of the drawers and pull outs are soft close. The colors are beautiful and I just love this room. If I could squeeze in a fourth area that I love, it would be the built-in shelving area in the living room that I use for my many books. There are knotty alder barn doors covering the expanded closet type area, so books are easy to find, but mostly organized and out of sight. Since I already semi cheated and added a fourth reason I love my home, might as well add a fifth: We built a 30' long by about 4' wide enclosed and finished yet unheated breezeway between the house and the garage and mechanical room. It's painted white with the same tile flooring found in my sunroom. (Actually, the sunroom is my absolutely favorite room in the house!) The breezeway is a great place for storing things that do well at cooler temps. It's a well utilized space. This is really a terrific home located in the Dubois community, where people are friendly and kind. It's really a unique area in which to live.
