The program created a low-slung linear volume overlooking an expansive view of the lake and blur the boundary between exterior and interior. The interiors are subtle and have predominantly monochrome tones to not distract from the ever-changing light and colors. Large, walk-out private deck for entertaining and relaxation with custom gas firepit, hot tub, European outdoor grilling area. Connective walk and steps to lower shoreline deck. Rooftop deck boasts a commanding view of lake with transparency and luminosity via custom LED lit glass balustrades, fireplace, and with custom entertainment lift. Unique topographic features gently cascade to shoreline. The project seeks maximum integration with the lake ecosystem, so its landscaping is based on the use of native species such as grasses, conifers, hardwoods. The main foci of the landscape program were the protection and preservation of the site’s existing mature trees and the amplification of the rolling topographic features. Hardscape materials include granite, concrete, and black oxide finished steel to gently impose on the naturally beautiful and ecologically conserved site.
