    The Timber Pines subdivision is a 55+ active gated community which some call ‘Paradise’ or ‘The Best Kept Secret in Florida’. For only $189/month HOA fees, owners are entitled to free use of 3 golf courses, and a round on the Championship course costs only $22. There are dozens of clubs, active tennis & pickle ball leagues, bocce, horseshoes, shuffle board, 2 heated pools, 2 hot tubs, a Country Club, a resident activity center (billiards, woodworking, gym, & arts & crafts), and a Performing Arts Center. Any day of the week you will find games of bridge, canasta, mahjong, etc., being played. WIFI is available at the Lodge, including the library where there are a number of computer terminals available to owners. But most important is the Community's financial status. The Board of Directors plan years in advance so when a major expenditure is required the money is already allocated. It is unusual for an Association to have such financial stability. Timber Pines has never charged the residents a Special Assessment in its entire history. Our home has impressive porcelain tile in the living room, dining room & kitchen as well as spanish lace ceilings & crown molding. It is the Pinewood model which has be altered to have an open floor plan. When you walk in the front door you can see right through to the lanai and beyond to the beautiful foliage in the back yard. The overwhelming opinion is that it feels very spacious. The kitchen has been updated with cream colored wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances & LED lighting. The quartz countertop is non-porous & so non-absorbent (no staining or bacterial growth). The Pelican farm style sink is granite composite with antibacterial protection. The contrast between the light cabinets & dark countertops is truly stunning. *The LG Stainless Steel Microwave has Extenda Vent (ask for a demo on that!!), sensor cook, 3 custom settings & more. *The LG Stainless Steel Refrigerator has French doors above, a pull out freezer drawer below, slide back shelves, LED internal lighting, and more. *The LG Stainless Steel Electric Range has a glass top; the oven has the following settings: bake, convection bake & roast, broil, Sabbath, 3 programmable modes, and more. *Samsung Stainless Steel Dishwasher has adjustable racks, a storm wash setting, and is 48 dBA silence rating and more. There is an archway into the lanai, where the 3 'walls' are double pane sliding glass doors looking out on the backyard foliage where there is an arbor, which is especially beautiful when the honeysuckle is in bloom. The sliders have energy efficient 3M Sun Control window film offering daytime privacy. Each section of sliders has a screen panel so the glass can be opened, the screen panel pulled over when you choose to let in that wonderful Florida atmosphere. A meandering block path through the foliage brings you right to a 2.2 mile walking path. The dining room has a solar tube which brightens during the day and an internal light kit to brighten at night. The 2 bathrooms have been updated: both have full tile showers, high efficiency toilets, new cabinets & counter tops. The house has been wired for DirecTv. The attic has extra insulation and the in-ground irrigation system runs off its own well. Pavers in the curved walkway & driveway enhance the low maintenance junipers in the landscaping. Our Village is pet friendly and active with events. Our neighbors are delightful. Could you ask for a better retirement?
