View website: http://6407frothinghamct.ePropertySites.com - Only the sellers can truly tell you about their home; Welcome to your new home, I hope your family will love the home and community as much as mine. Eight years ago when looking for a home we determined that location was one of the most important factors in our decision. I was working in Northern Virginia at the time and my wife was working in Baltimore. The home was a good halfway point for our work locations and between both of our families. The home is close enough to major commuter routes such as Route 100, I-95, Route 29 and I-70. The home is also close to major job centers including Washington DC, Baltimore, Ft. Meade/NSA and Columbia. Access to those areas is easy via road or the Marc train and BWI airport is just 10 minutes away for business trips. As we narrowed our search we determined that Howard County and specifically West Elkridge was right for us. Howard County has an excellent school system, expansive parks and recreation system, is safe, affluent and has all the conveniences that we desired. We have spent many days at parks around the county including Patapaco State Park which has miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, Long Gate Park which has a gigantic playground for the kids and sports fields abound, Centennial Lake Park which has a wonderful lake with trails, playgrounds and pavilions, and Rockburn Park which has playgrounds, trails and sports fields. Nearby Columbia has many parks as well, however being in Elkridge we did not have to pay the Columbia Parks and Recreation Association (CPRA) fees which could amount to over a $1000/year. The home is also close to great restaurants and shopping such as Wegmans, Costco, Trader Joes, etc. We further narrowed our search we fell in love with Willowood. As we saw homes we noticed that many Columbia-area townhomes did not have a community feel to them. Most of them had little green space and were sandwiched together. Willowood was not the same. The community was built around wooded areas, has common green space and three playgrounds. My kids do not have to go far to find play partners and space to play. At the front of the home is "Green Island" where my daughter and I play soccer and tee ball. To the right is another green space where my daughter and her friends play. They have named it "Fairy Mountain". There are numerous young families with kids that chose to start their families here for the same reasons we did. Just take a walk around and you will see that people are really friendly and love the community that we live in. Once we knew Willowood was right for us, we found the right home too. Our house was the perfect size for our up-and-coming family. It boasts an open floor plan on the main level where my wife can get things done in the kitchen while being able to see the kids playing in the living room. The basement is huge and was perfect for creating a large play area, an entertainment area and an office area as well. The basement walks out to a large backyard with a common green space that BACKS TO WOODS, which is very rare in Howard County. It's hard to find a townhome with privacy but with the trees in the back we do not have to look into our neighbors homes every day. We have truly enjoyed the extra space in the back and we have spent many days watching our daughter play in the sprinkler while we enjoyed a cocktail on the hammock swing. The house has been trouble free since we moved in and we honestly have never lost power more than a flicker, including the 2012 Derecho when we had both sets of our parents stay with us. The neighbors on Frothingham are ones we will truly miss. We frequently gather outside as the kids play to spend time talking about life in general. We look out for each other and provide a helping hand when needed. I will never forget when our daughter was born our neighbors helped clear out almost 2 feet of snow after the "Snowmageddon" s
