Room for Rent in 3bed/2bath Room for rent (lease takeover) in a 3 bed / 2 bath house in Lakewood. Available as early as May 1st (rent will be prorated based on beginning of lease). // The Room The room is one of two upstairs bedrooms, with windows on the north- and west-facing walls. Dimensions are roughly 12'x13' plus a closet. The bathroom is nearly adjacent to the room and is shared with one other tenant. // The Unit The unit is one half of a duplex, and the shared wall is between garages, which minimizes the amount of noise. Very quick access to 6th Ave, and about a mile away from either the Garrison or Wadsworth light rail stations. Walmart is 5 min away, Belmar 9 min away and several restaurants within a mile. The upper level has two bedrooms, one bathroom (shared), the kitchen/dining area, and an open living room. The kitchen has access to a large private deck with chairs and a grill, as well as a fenced-in backyard. The lower level has one master bed/bath, an office area, and a full laundry room (washer/dryer are in-unit and provided). The laundry room has access to a single-car garage which is primarily used as a storage room and workspace. Parking is available on the driveway and on a gravel off-street patch. All of the common areas of the unit have been furnished by the existing tenants. The available bedroom is unfurnished, and there is also room in the office for another desk and bookshelf/similar if you work from home. // Terms Rent for the available room is $800/mo plus utilities (water/sewer, gas/electric, trash, and internet), which are split equally between the tenants. Unfortunately, the pet limit is 1 so no pets, please, given there is already a dog living here. The lease goes through April 30th, 2026 - this is a lease takeover (not a sublet), so you will be added to the current lease. The property is managed by the owners, who are really nice and respond quickly to any concerns that come up. In order to qualify, you must pass a background check - this is a hard criterion for the owners, so please do not apply if that will be an issue. // The Roommates We are two professionals (one male and one female) in our early 30s and have an older dog named Cleo that keeps to herself. We generally like to keep things fairly neat (lived-in but not sterile) and prefer cleaning things when we notice they're dirty rather than having a strict cleaning schedule. We work regular hours and tend to stay up a little later, but usually no later than midnight. In the summer and beyond, we each really enjoy a mix of dancing, live music and vinyl records at home, camping, paddling, and inviting friends over for fires.
