More info on utilities (responsibility of tenant): WATER: Home is on private well with currently monthly bill (reflecting lower water usage) at appx. $31/month ELECTRIC: Current electric bill is coming in at appx. $120/month GARBAGE: This home is on a dead-end gravel road and garbage collection does not come down the road. Garbage service is available on Barr Rd (4 lots away), though this home has never used it. The home has a trash compactor which significantly reduces bulk, and occupants currently bring garbage / recycling to the transfer station every 3-4 weeks. Last bill at transfer station was appx $14. HEATING: The house has energy-efficient electric heat pumps in all bedrooms/bedroom side of house. We are in the process of converting the living areas of house to electric heat (depending on scheduling, we expect this to be completed in 8-10 weeks). Meanwhile, the main living room/office area is heated by a propane stove (propane tank to be re-filled shortly). The kitchen/great room area has a wood stove which heats very nicely (wood on-hand). Once electric heat is installed, the propane and wood stoves will not be necessary for heating. INTERNET: Whidbey Telecom, rates depend upon plan chosen by tenant. PROPANE: The tank will be refilled by owner upon occupancy. Once heat conversion is completed, propane heat will not be necessary. However, be aware that the stove/oven does use propane. As the only appliance using propane in the home, the expectation is that this would be minimal usage.
