THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Located in the core of the historic district of Capitol Hill. The building is located on 632 Massachusetts Ave, NE. Walk to post office, library, coffee shops, outdoor cafes, Lincoln and Stanton Park, and Union Station. Eastern Market was voted one the nation's top 10 neighborhoods. http
www.easternmarket.net ) Close to everything but maintains the charm of a quiet historic neighborhood. Capitol Hill offices, Barracks row, Capitol Hill Sport & Health, H Street Corridor, Wholefoods, Trader Joe's, Capitol Bike Share, shops, restaurants, post office, banks, etc. are all just steps away. On the weekend, stroll around the farmers market and antique and arts fair that takes place every weekend around the Eastern Market building.
PARKING: 1 Parking Space Included in Rent. There is plenty of on-street parking. If you are a permanent resident, you will get a neighborhood parking sticker when you register your car. Guests can stay for 2 hours without a pass if they park on the side of the street with the green signs, not the side with the red signs. Guests staying longer must have a pass. There are two types of guest parking passes. They are both free to residents. One is a permanent pass which goes with the apartment and is gotten from the DMV. The other is a temporary pass which you get at the police station by showing proof of residency. This type is for a specific license plate, and a specific time period, not to exceed 30 days per year, per vehicle.
If you are a student, or work for a member of congress from your home state, you are also entitled to a reciprocal parking pass without charge which will cover you for your stay in DC. You can also buy a 6 month pass for about $200.
Please call Eric Roozen with questions or requests for showings. Eric
