There is plenty of on-street parking. If you are a permanent resident, you will get a neighborhood parking sticker when you register your car. Guests can stay for 2 hours without a pass if they park on the side of the street with the green signs, not the side with the red signs. Guests staying longer must have a pass. There are two types of guest parking passes. They are both free to residents. One is a permanent pass which goes with the apartment and is gotten from the DMV. The other is a temporary pass which you get at the police station by showing proof of residency. This type is for a specific license plate, and a specific time period, not to exceed 30 days per year, per vehicle. If you are a student, or work for a member of congress from your home state, you are also entitled to a reciprocal parking pass without charge which will cover you for your stay in DC. You can also buy a 6 month pass for about $200. Please call Eric Roozen with questions or requests for showings. Eric
