This is an off grid retreat cabin in the heart of the Challis National Forest. The only cabin on the road makes it very private. This special cabin is built over the edge of the mountain and it is three levels! This was one of the first cabins built on the mountain and it was built to showcase the majestic view! Wildlife like elk, deer and an occasional moose are seen from every deck! The cabin has one large master bedroom that easily sleeps three or four. This bedroom also has a screened in porch and two brand new sliding windows. There are two bathrooms. One bath has sink, toilet, and shower. Master bath has toilet and sink. The cabin has a loft that will sleep five. Currently we have two double beds and it would still fit a cot. The sofa in the living room is a sleeper. This cabin also has a woodstove, propane wall heat, propane lights, propane stove and refrigerator which are newer. Also has new solar powr which allows watching local TV with DISH. The mountain lots are called Ramshorn Ranch Estates. The subdivision has other cabins dotting the mountain but we still have all the quiet and privacy. There is a volunteer water company and we have water from this as well as a shared lease from a forest serve spring. We are the second owners and have enjoyed this getaway retreat for over 15 years. Through the years we have done a lot of upgrades like solar so now we have WiFi, satellite phone service and last year I used my blender to make pina coladas! We just laid vinyl flooring and upgraded the toilet downstairs. Several windows are new. The decks are new, the outside has two year old paint. There is so much to do like four wheel the trails, fly fish, rock hunt the gems around or rent horses from the local outfitter! This is truly a special place.
