I am not going to sugar-coat it...this home needs a total renovation. If you like older homes, and want to invest in a home for yourself or to renovate and resell, this is the one. The home was occupied until a couple months ago. So many cool features: very old stained glass windows (family room and living room side window), pocket doors in dining room and family room, clawfoot tub in top level bathroom (we think that bathroom was added over 40 years ago), heart-pine floors, tin ceiling in kitchen, nine-foot ceilings, and a large yard. Imagine relaxing on the huge front porch. Some updates include recent roof, updated electric panel, recent gas boiler. A previous owner water-proofed a portion of the basement and the family of the current owner does not recall any water intrusion in the basement in the last forty years. Do not use the rear exterior stairs. The second floor has three bedrooms with one room that has been expanded, combining two bedrooms. So, you could have four bedrooms on the second floor. The third floor has a huge bedroom plus a full bath. My favorite bedroom is the sunny front bedroom on the second level with the curved window wall and window seats. So charming.
