We have updated the 1953 footprint! Moved the front door to center of front of home...took out stairs in kitchen and moved to area that is now the mudroom with the moved front door.....expanding kitchen 10 ft . The new location of the stairs to the basement and centered front door was a small 3rd bedroom but is now opened up to the North to the expanded kitchen and to the South to the hallway to living room..bathroom and 2 bedrooms. ..making full circle access to the whole home. A dining room closet was taken out and now the dining room and living room are fully opened to each other. The original small galley kitchen now has a large square island with seating available for 12 and a large opening to the dining room. Old carpet was removed from a third of our home and replaced with hardwood floors now throughout the Large Square Island Room...Kitchen..and Mudroom. And the Living Room and Hall carpet removal revealed really cool tile. The Large Square Island Room was the Previous Dining Room. The Current Living Room will become the Dining Room. There will be a Large Living/Family Room Addition added in the next 5 years off the West side of the Current Living Room, which is the middle of the West Side of our home. 2 bedrooms with egress windows were added in the full basement that also has the laundry room. We added a 12 x 10 outside deck off the West Side of the Large Square Island Room. We also have a large detached garage, with a Sun Porch running N to S along the West Side of the garage. This space will become my woodworking studio within 2 years. We also have a 30 x 40 polebarn. Our property goes West right up to the Yuba Creek Conservancy. We updated to a propane furnace, this is the 2nd Winter (2023). We will be adding a Bigger Mudroom and Entryway inside with a Covered Porch that will wrap around the North Side of the house to connect to the back deck....this Summer (2024). Plans are to also add a Powder Room into that addition....and also update the current Bathroom. Hopefully the Polebarn and Garage will get fresh paint this Summer also.
