Monthly board meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Thursday evening of every month and are mandatory. You will also be expected to serve on two of the co-op's five standing committees. Work requirements (AKA sweat equity) are 2 hours per month doing chores such as shoveling snow, cleaning the laundry room, or cutting grass; there are also two 4-hour community workdays per year. Your participation is what makes this such an affordable place to live. You, as a member of the co-op board, have a real voice in decisions about the budget and policies; there is no "land -lord." We are looking for mature, motivated people interested in making a long-term commitment to helping us make our co-op work well for everyone.
