Available August 15, 2017: Sunny, Chevy Chase house on a quiet street in friendly neighborhood. The house and garden have much charm and it is a cozy and welcoming place to live. 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs. Half bath on 1st floor. Basement rooms with full bath and separate entrance. The main kitchen has been modernized with full refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, and disposal. New Bosch washer and dryer in basement. Enclosed former garage offers ample storage area. Driveway available for parking. Stay cool during the summers on the large screened porch. And warm during the winters in front of the stone fireplace. It's a 15 minute walk to Friendship Heights Metro, Whole Foods, Giant Foods, Mazza Gallerie shops, restaurants, movie theater, and more. And it's a 12 minute walk to Trader Joe's, CVS, and Staples. The community pool is 5 blocks away; the spacious Norwood Park (playground, 5 tennis courts, playing fields) is 6 blocks; the Little Falls Park Trail is 2 blocks; the Capital Crescent Hiker/Biker Trail from Bethesda to Georgetown is 5 blocks. The streets of Chevy Chase Terrace are like a large cul-de-sac - they either loop back or stop at their end. This means there are few cars on the streets, since no one is driving through to get somewhere else. A review from the previous tenants: "We are a Dutch family with two children aged 10 and 13. We have lived at 6200 Stratford Road for half a year and loved it! The house is charming and comfortable with a very nice mosquito-free porch. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Children can play on the street or in the lovely Norwood Park a few minutes up the hill. Somerset Elementary School is very close, the bus stop for Westland Middle school is around the corner. And both schools are excellent and very welcoming! The Metro Red Line is at 5-10 minutes by bike or a 15-minute walk."
