    NV Ranch is totally off grid and is located in Mohave County, Arizona just off Highway 93. The ranch is located 7 miles south of Wikieup, AZ and is nestled between the Aquarius and Hualapai mountain ranges. Wikieup has a population of less than 100 people but has two restaurants and three gas stations with convenience stores. The elevation of the ranch is 2,123 feet which makes the weather similar to the Phoenix area. The ranch consists of two parcels. One parcel contains 43.07 acres and the second parcel contains 41.06 acres for a total of 84.13 acres. 2022 annual real estate taxes totaled $621. The south side of the property borders BLM land. There are beautiful views in all directions. We started building the home in 2007 but didn't finish the majority of it until 2012. The home has maintenance-free steel roof and siding. It contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, dining and living room combination with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen has plantation shutters, a six burner gas stove and an island with a large pantry. The home has a large bar area complete with a wood stove and a Century gun safe. The wood stove can heat the entire home. A kitchenette outside the bar and several storage rooms makes for a total of 1,935 square feet. The home will be sold furnished with the exception of some personal items. There is a gas furnace in the living room and a small gas furnace in the master bathroom. The home has two separate wall air conditioning units that can also heat the home. The home has concrete sidewalks on three sides with a 12x30 ft deck along the back with a large grill, stainless steel sink and hot tub. The detached garage is 24' x 30' and has 10' sidewalls with a concrete apron. The property also contains five metal containers. One container holds the 8500 watt Schneider solar system and 16 six volt Trojan batteries. The solar panels are mounted on top along with the diesel Perkins 12K generator. The generator will start automatically if the batteries' charge runs low. It is all automated with the Schneider solar system. The backup generator seldom starts unless we have very cloudy or rainy days. The indoor switch allows you to turn the generator on manually if you expect to use more than normal electricity in the evening. The system keeps our two refrigerators, a chest freezer, televisions and fans running throughout the night. The diesel Kubota 10K generator is in a neighboring steel container. This generator runs the well. The well was drilled in 2006 and is 460' deep. The pumping station will pump the three storage tanks full of 4,650 gallons of water. This will provide water under a gravity pressurized system to the house with 30 psi, and also to the animal pens and the automatic watering system in the fruit garden. The water is delicious with no iron. We drink just using the filter in the refrigerator or our Brita pitcher. This container also has storage for 525 gallons of diesel fuel which is plumbed to both generators. Another container works as the feed shed. It's located next to the corrals which have shade and shelter structures perfect for horses or farm animals. It's also next to the chicken coop and brooder. We have four outdoor cats that wander the property. We keep them fed. They earn their keep as we have no problems with any rodents. We currently have three chickens that lay enough eggs for breakfast. The remaining two containers provide storage. They currently have electrical and plumbing supplies, mesquite firewood and barbed wire. There are enough fence stakes and barbed wire to fence in a large portion of the property. The miscellaneous supplies on site will help avoid those unwanted trips to town. Kingman, AZ is 63 miles NW of the ranch and has big box stores such as Wal-Mart and Home Depot along with several grocery stores. Wickenburg is 64 miles SE of the property and has more of a tourist feel. Major airports in the region are Las Vegas, NV (2.5 hours) and Phoenix (2.5 hours).
