Overview
Welcome to our secluded and woodsy property in a charming NE Portland neighborhood! We are renting out the detached guesthouse/ADU behind our main house. This guesthouse is a furnished rental with utilities included, and we are renting it on a month-to-month basis to two people maximum (though it fits one person better).
The guesthouse is a completely separate one-bedroom apartment with high arched ceilings. There is a comfortable living/dining room with nice windows and lots of light, plus a large smart TV and high speed WiFi. The kitchenette has plenty of cabinets and counterspace, a convection oven, hot plates, microwave, and all that you need for cooking. The bathroom includes a shower, toilet, sink, and cabinets. The bedroom is a peaceful sanctuary with French doors opening up to a small back patio and grassy sitting area.
As long as you like lots of trees and flowers and our sweet dog English Shepherd, you'll be right at home! Plus you'll be close to convenient areas to shop and dine, such as the Alberta Arts District.
Space
This is a legally permitted and separate ADU (accessory dwelling unit) that is behind our main house and comes fully furnished. All around the guesthouse is the flower, bush, and tree-filled yard. We have some space in the shed next to the guesthouse for you to store extra belongings.
Neighborhood
The Cully neighborhood is a laid-back area of Portland that is full of big lots and greenery: evergreen trees, fruit trees, and gardens galore. We are only 1.6 miles from the airport but somehow far from the hustle and bustle of the nearby boulevards and highways. This guesthouse is tucked down a private street and behind our main house. You're surrounded by greenery, but close to hip restaurants and stores, such as the Alberta Arts District.
Landlords
We are a friendly Oregonian couple with lots family and friends in the neighborhood. Husband is a semi-retired international aid worker and wife is a speech-language pathologist. Dog is the best doggo in the world. She loves meeting people and sniffing around the verdant yard.
