Neighborhood Description
Probably one of the biggest pluses. Next door neighbors on one side are older (very very nice) couple children grown and gone (son colonel in armed forces), keep VERY close eye on house and will help if you go away, on other side and across street neightbors are a bit older (50 to 60s), several belong to our church, there are not that many children in the close neighborhood so that could be a good or bad thing for you.. however there are families with kids within reasonalbe (safe) walking distance. this is a VERY low almost non-existant no-crime zone. other down side could be the lack of multi-cultural families, this is an almost exclusive white area for miles and miles, , e are about 35 minutes from philly and the airport.. so you are far enough away to be in the country but close enough to access the benefits of the city. In short this is a very safe, friendly, but very private non-intrusive community.. we have been here for about 13 years. started a business 13 years ago and it has finallyl turned the corner. Recently purchased a lakefront in the poconos and am now ready to upgrade our primary residence(by the way we would be staying in the SF district by choice due to the area, people and qaulity of education for our three kids. We have no mortgage and, with the right buyers, would be very flexible and open to negotiate for a very quick closing. By the way the basement has a very large finished area for entertainment with a complete wet bar and refrig.. great for the kids to play (and keep the mess away from the eyes of others..lol...
