    What's special

You can approach this property as an investment or a great place to live. From an investment point of view look to Littleton NH and the impact that Walmart had on the dying town. Now Newport is going to benefit from one and I foresee my home town reborn to its former glory. Property values are going to go through the roof, especially here. For the living there aspect I'll reflect upon my youth. I grew up there. Assessments say it's a one-bedroom but the "dining room" was refurbished from my bedroom, so it could be back-fitted if you've got/planning a kid. When I got older and felt a need for privacy I put up a couple of walls in the basement and lived down there in the winter and in a quasi-finished attic room in the summer. The house is walking distance from Hillside Elementary. You can watch your child walk to school, just like my mother did with me. It's biking distance to North Country High School. There used to be a deck off the back porch but no longer there; throw one up and you can relax in the summer months with a cool drink and a hot BBQ. There is also a very over-grown flower garden that can be reformed into the vegetable garden that we use to have. In the winter the snowplow that clears the driveway provides a great pile for snow-forts. If you have a dog you can put up a run from the back door to a tree that looks really good with a dog house under it (that's a win in the winter months that are too cold to get all dressed up just to take it for a walk.) The thing is I'm not going back to Newport, I've got a home in Malaysia and can't see the house going to waste 50 weeks out of the year (I only come back for a couple of weeks in the summer). It's nice but I think it would go to better use building memories for a new family. I'll be selling it as is with everything that's inside. If you feel like going to take a look at it I can arrange for someone to show you in.
