The exterior is a rustic hewn cedar, and we have done many upgrades, including improved insulations, all new double-hung windows, including a new bay window in front, new storm doors, all new hardwood flooring upstairs and laminate downstairs, brand new heating and air conditioning, and a new tankless water heater. The back yard has two fenced-in areas, a natural area in the far back that provides a nice buffer, and an area immediately behind the home that is great for children or pets. Neighborhood Description This is one of the neighborhoods with a nice mix of ages. We have plenty of young families with children, but there are a number of older families who have been in the neighborhood for many years. There is a truly old-fashioned neighborhood feel here. In the summer, neighborhood children actually set up lemonade stands! Every holiday sees community gatherings--easter egg hunts, halloween parties, and the like. There are even regular paper-shredding events. We are very close to Crabtree Mall, Shelley Lake and Sertoma Arts Center, and lots of other shopping and restaurants.
