Located on a quiet street just a block from Drake Park you can walk to coffee every morning, walk to your river float every afternoon and truly experience the relaxing routine of downtown Bend living. Downstairs you'll find the king bedroom, complete with high thread count linens, European bedding and warm floors. The built in dresser snugs right into the stucco and straw bale walls. You'll find the full bathroom down here as well with a tub and shower stocked with earth friendly soaps and shampoos to start off your stay. Colorful tile and creative finishes around the tub will also catch your eye. All the floors down stairs are radiantly heated so your toes will always be happy. A full washer and dryer are also provided. The kitchen and dining room also are the perfect spots to start your gourmet meal, or lounge for morning coffee as you plan your day in Bend. The wood stove is is such a treat for cool nights. We'll start you off with a bundle of wood for your stay. Upstairs is the amazing loft space with queen bed and queen sleeper sofa. Bedding is provided for all 3 beds. The loft is completely surrounded by windows so you can truly bring the outside in! We've added light blocking curtains to the upstairs queen bedroom area for a dark an cozy sleeping space. TV and a computer work station, with monitor included, are also located upstairs. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils for both the cook and the baker. We always supply basic oils and spices for your use too. You'll always be set for making a recovery dinner after your surf, swim or ski! The dining room seats 6 easily. You'll find all the expected appliances (oven, stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster) plus more. There is no dishwasher in this home. This strawbale home is very well insulated and has a powerful ceiling fan in the loft and portable fans in the sleeping areas. There is currently no A/C in the home. It has a passive solar design that is meant to keep the home home cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Bend also has nights that dip into the 50's on a regular basis, so opening up the home in the evenings is the perfect way to cool off. Don't miss the little outside dining area and your own dedicated BBQ chairs for enjoying our pleasant afternoons! This is a quintessential Bend location!
