The home was custom built in 2003. I'm from New England and wanted to have interiors that reflected "home" for me so the majority of the house has solid hardwood oak floors (the real stuff!) and slate flooring in both the entry foyer and screened-in lanai. The builder was able to take my antique leaded glass windows and remove the old frames to create transoms over the interior doors of the home and build custom leaded glass built-in cabinets. I built the home with family gatherings and entertaining in mind so there is ample dining room space for big holiday get-togethers. In addition to the screened-in lanai, there is an open-air patio with natural rock flooring and a large fire pit, all under a massive Live Oak tree that provides plenty of shade! The master bedroom/bathroom (ensuite) is located on the first floor while the other three bedrooms are located on the second floor of the home. One of my favorite features of the home is the "sunroom", which is located just off the kitchen and overlooks the lake and showcases all the beautiful Live Oak trees in the back yard. This room is a perfect "reading room" on quiet mornings when you want to get away from everyone else in the house! Almost every room in the home has a view of the lake, by design.
