Built to have the backyard view to start at the beginning of the giant rectangular retention pond. Thus, instead of looking across to another person's home, this one has a view that goes all the way down to the other end of the retention pond. During hurricanes Ian and Nichole, this home had zero damage. It was built by my grandfather, a retired building contractor. So he was here every single day, to make sure only the best materials were used and it was done precisely the way he wanted. He insisted the home be built on a higher plot, and only real plywood was used for the roof, when I had a Wind Mit and 4 point done last year, the inspector, (a stranger to me), said he has not seen a home done this well in a very long time. The garage is bigger (wider) than others to accommodate his 2 large cars, (3 feet), and the driveway is also much wider and steeper. The home never had any damage from any of the hurricanes since it was built. After he passed, I had brick stucco done all around the house, not just in the front as it was built.
