The neighbors are unbelievably nice on the street, open, friendly and often helping eachother (shoveling snow, mowing lawns, sharing garden bounty and baked goods, etc. ). Dorchester Market one block away is a small, old time grocery store with owners (and butchers) who know most people by name, have prices much lower and service much nicer than the big grocery stores. It is wonderful to be able to shop for dinner on the way home, instead of having to always do big shopping trips or order out.
