The Gerstle Park Neighborhood Association is well organized and hosts an annual garage sale, Easter egg hunts, Christmas caroling events and Halloween and Christmas-light contest. It is a wonderful neighborhhood to walk, with a variety of well cared for homes on tree-lined streets. There are hiking trails in the hills above the neighborhood. The location is excellent: convenient to surrounding towns, shopping, and commuting. On Thursdays in the summer time our family walks down to the Farmers Market in San Rafael.
