6 Fairfax St, Dorchester, MA 02124

The owners of 6 Fairfax Street had incredible vision when they first saw it ten years ago. It was shrouded in heavy aluminum siding. Previous occupants had added dropped ceilings and jalousie windows and painted the interior the dark colors of the 1990's. Somehow, my clients could see beyond all of that and loved the open layout, original detail, huge windows and the home's 12' wide turret. Over the years, they enjoyed the renovations, as well as the search for appropriate home furnishings and plantings for their fantastical garden. The kitchen cabinets are from British designer Mark Wilkinson. There is a Dynasty range, a Miele dishwasher and paired Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer. French doors lead to a secluded patio. First floor also has a living room with a fireplace, pocket doors, dining room with fireplace, family room and sunporch. On the second floor are four bedrooms, one with a fireplace.
