Want to spend the winter and early spring in beautiful Black Mountain? Looking to move to the mountains of Western North Carolina and want to try it out first? Our fully furnished home is the perfect place for you to stay! Our home is available from January 1 - April 1, and comes with everything you need to enjoy a summer in Black Mountain! Located in a quiet neighborhood between Black Mountain and Montreat, this super clean, family-friendly home is a 1030 s.f., 3 BR, 1 BA cottage that has been updated with custom touches - interior timber framing using locally sourced lumber, vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and handmade cabinets. The location is convenient to everything Black Mountain and Montreat have to offer, and is only 20 minutes from downtown Asheville. You can walk or bike to town - the sidewalk leads right to the neighborhood, and two beach cruiser bikes are included with your rental for you to explore the town and all of its lovely shops, restaurants, and parks. Our home has three bedrooms - two have queen beds with very comfortable mattresses, and one has a futon with a new mattress and memory foam topper. The bathroom has a bathtub with combination stationary/handheld shower for your convenience. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a delicious meal using the freshest local ingredients, and a dishwasher to help make the cleanup easier. There is a washer and dryer in the outside-entry basement to take care of your laundry needs during your stay. The property has a large backyard complete with fire pit and firewood, lawn chairs, propane grill, charcoal grill, picnic table, and flower and garden beds. The covered front porch and back deck have several seating choices that are perfect for reading, enjoying a cup of coffee, or sitting down to an outdoor breakfast. The house is naturally shaded by two large white oaks in the front yard. The house has a brand new central air system for your comfort, and we provide wireless internet, DirecTV, and an ample selection of books, local guidebooks, games, and DVDs for your entertainment. Because this is a family-friendly home, and we aim to make sure your children enjoy their stay as much as you enjoy yours, there are shelves stocked with children's art supplies, toys, and books. To make packing easier for you, there is also an umbrella stroller, pack and play, and high chair in the house. We normally rent this home on two popular vacation rental sites (where we have over 100 5-star reviews), but because of our plans this winter, want to offer it as a longer-term rental.
