Enjoy views through the large windows at either end of the Great Room, or from the Master bedroom balcony, or dine on the terraced patios, then relax in the spa. The house is unique in its design; the traffic flow and the accessibility give each person some privacy when needed, yet never being out of touch. The spacious carpeted Great Room, 18' x 36', has ash wood ceiling beams and trim, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a raised hearth heat-recovery fireplace. The walls are 10' high, sloping to a 12' ceiling. Great attention to detail has been used throughout the home, such as 3/4" bevel-edged Bruce oak-wood flooring in the foyer and the den, which has the second fireplace. All interior doors are solid wood. Cove molding and custom designed cabinetry are used all through the home. High grade, granite counters complement the cabinetry in the kitchen, the desk in the breakfast area, and the convenient half-bath. More of the spacious cabinets are used in the breakfast room, and in the laundry room. A separate pantry and a roll-out pastry unit, below the microwave, complete the kitchen. The spacious Master Suite offers a large balcony with spectacular views, a walk-in closet with a dressing area, and a master bathroom with a walk-in shower. Both bathrooms have new marble counters, light fixtures, and flooring. The second bathroom also has new mirrors. Double closets are standard in the other two bedrooms. All bathrooms are sound-insulated for quietness and privacy. All windows throughout the house are double-pane with special tint for efficiency and UV protection. They tilt in for easy cleaning. The six upper windows in the Great room are triple-pane for better insulation. A large 14' x 9' storm shelter is located below the brick deck next to the breakfast room. The crawl space below the house is deep, for easy access to utility needs. An over-sized 2-car garage with storage units is attached. Out buildings include an 18' x 31' steel building, while a smaller shed is closer to the house. An extra-wide brick-lined, pebble stone concrete side walk leads guests from the convenient four space concrete parking area to the entrance of our home. We cut no corners in construction, using top grade materials like cedar and redwood on the exterior trim and pebbled concrete in the sidewalk and patio.  The roof rafters are on 16" centers, as opposed to 24".  The roof decking is 3/4" plywood, rather than the commonly used 1/2". The exterior walls have 2”X6” studs and are fully insulated. Included in the photos is a page from the Appraisal Report on our property, done for a bank in 2018.  Shown in the General Description section is the Effective Age, 15 yrs, indicating that, though the house was 40 years old at that time, the Appraiser sets its age as equivalent to a 15 year old home due to proper care and maintenance.
