This house has a dozen or more mature shade trees of different varieties. It also has 3 apple trees and 1 peach tree, all of them bear fruit. It is a very private, 1.06 acre lot that adjoins 12 empty acres beside and behind it. There is a multitude of wildlife on the property, yet, it is only 5 miles to downtown Reno. The front lawn landscaping is a mixture of trees, shrubs, and grass. Flowerbeds border the house in the front and back with easy access to water connections. There are also several lilac bushes and wild rose bushes on the property. As a result there is usually some sort of flowers blooming from early Spring until the Fall. A new addition was added the summer of 2009 along with a brand new roof which extends over the large front porch that overlooks the front lawn. While the house has a propane furnace, it is also has a wood burning stove which helps heat the to entire house during the winter months. Because this property was grandfathered in to the city, we were able to upgrade the woodstove to a newer, more energy efficiant model. We have found it to be very cost effective to use a mix of propane and wood during the coldest parts of winter. In the cooler months the woodstove alone can heat the house.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Zillow. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
