Currently we are 3 men. 1 rooms with a shared bathroom is for rent @ $1300. Deposit is 1.5x rent. I am willing to consider well behaved, potty trained, clean dogs, that are well socialized with other dogs. The dog must get along with my dog. Mine does not do well with dogs that look intimidating, (I know they can be some of the sweetest dogs) huskies or similar appearance, and flat faced breeds. This is a remodeled home that was designed to feel open and relaxing with a neutral color scheme. The large windows and sliding doors bring lots of natural light into every room. There is a neighborhood park a few minutes walk away. Easy access to the 405, 73 and 55 freeways ______*Hotpads has some weird formatting, so I've added underlines to separate what I would prefer to list as bullet points. ______Public Park in neighborhood ______Beautiful, Large Sunny Open Kitchen ______House AC ______Large Front courtyard ______Washer Dryer Rooms w/shared bathroom: 11' x 12'. Master is 11'x13'. I am a 38 male, I live in the upstairs bedroom. ______The house should feel clean and relaxed most of the time. A bit more energy on the weekends. ______We have a housekeeper come about once a month. The housekeeper vacuums, cleans the windows, bathrooms etc. The stuff that needs to be attended to periodically. That way we aren't trying to figure out who cleaned what last time. ______My ideal roommates are mature, clean, well-mannered people. You get along best with people who do their part. ______*If you are clean and want to live in a clean environment the below should sound incredible. If you aren't a good fit it may sound uptight. ______ The kitchen is spacious and very nice. The oven and stovetop are incredible and cook better than anything I've ever used. I want somebody that will treat these things with respect. ______For example: You cooked some spaghetti. Eat your food while it's hot, then clean up. You inspect the fronts of cabinets and the floor when you clean up and find all the marinara splatters. ______You don't stack dishes in the sink. We have a dishwasher that you're welcome to use, run it, unload it. If you fill it; you start it. If you see that it's clean, you unload it. ______You know how to pull a full trash bag, instead of trying to stuff it down for the next person, and put it into the garbage collection bins. ______You rinse down the sink when you're done with it, nobody likes pieces of food in the sink. If we all rinse, then rarely does it actually need to be scrubbed clean. ______ All that said nobody is perfect; sometimes you have to run out the door and you leave some dishes in the sink. When you get home you take care of it. ______Utilities are split: The avg has been around $170/month/person - Electric, water, gas, internet, housekeeper. ______All bedrooms have new closet doors and ceiling fans. ______Street has plenty of parking. - Thursdays the street sweeper comes through and you'll need to get your car off the street around 8am. ______Common areas are for everybody. Please clean up after yourself within a reasonable time. ______Heavy drinkers and those who still like to party often are a hard pass.-- No cigarettes smoked on the property. (not in the back or front yard) ______Be a dog person: There is a sweet and adorable 5 year old Standard Poodle to help you feel at home. Can be seen in many of the pictures. He is very kind, gentle and very playful. He may be excited to see you arrive home after he knows you. His food and water are in my room. He sleeps in my room and spends most of his time in my room. What he isn't doing is running around the house and bumping into people, or jumping up to steal food. He will attempt puppy dog eyes to have you give him some food. I need you to be able to resist this (everything gives him stomach trouble). You can however give him a dog treat. His most annoying trait is that he does bark when people come to the door. He is an alert breed and wants us to know a stranger is near. This does increase our safety. The barks may sound scary; but once we open the door to that person he'll be wagging his tail.
