    Quality-built home from the late '40s on a quiet, no-outlet street. Every room has hardwood floors except the kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen has new tile floor ('12) and the master bedroom, stairs and upper hallway have new carpeting ('12). The main level includes LR, DR, kitchen, Study, MBR and full bath (remodeled in '02). The study could easily serve as 5th bedroom and is perfect as a nursery. The upper level has (3) bedrooms, a full bath and a cedar closet. One bedroom and the bath are in a full-height shed dormer while the other (2) rooms have window dormers that help to open up the space. Construction type is block foundation, brick and block main level and studs with aluminum siding on the gable ends and dormers. All windows are double pane insulated with marble sills. Four rooms have been wired Cat5e with a 5th spooled in the attic for future install. An HD antenna has been installed in the attic and is capable of receiving more than 30 channels. While the lot is on the small side, so is the maintenance. The rear yard features a walk-out basement to a 10'x20' concrete patio and is surrounded by a 6' tall cedar privacy fence. A 6'x 10' shed provides additional storage. The A/C and furnace were replaced in '02 to include a high efficiency (90%) furnace. Hot water heater replaced in '04. Dishwasher and disposal were replaced in '06. Neighborhood Description The home is about 2/3 of the way down a no-outlet street which results in very little traffic. Commute time to downtown or UC is 15 minutes and there is a Metro stop at North Bend Rd. La Salle high School is a 5-minute walk and St. James, Little Flower and St. Ignatius schools are all within 2 miles.
