Hi! We're real people renting our real, (furnished + all utilities & streaming included) back apartment. Not corporate overlords. Not a cookie-cutter staging company. I am not an AI Bot writing this. I'm just a slightly salty & slowly aging chef, seeking someone reasonably cool to assimilate into our simple world. Hi, I'm Wendy. Nice to meet you. And what private space are we looking to lease? That would be our sweet, light-filled carriage house (Charleston term for a studio apartment, depending on the era of the house and architecture. We juuussst made the cut.) Set quite back in our vine-covered back garden, we're just steps from massive downtown Hampton Park itself. You're about 20 steps from your morning run! (If that's your thing, loser. Kidding.) From fluffy towels to comfortable furnishings, it is tastefully decorated and cozy in the best possible way. In fact, I think I like it better than our own place. Kind of not joking. It just has a certain feel to it. The living/sitting area (it's all open concept) is newly furnished with a custom deep-seat velvet sofa and chairs from West Elm. And a decidedly NOT new Turkish rug from my own long-collected items that I couldn't resist adding as I tied the new pieces together. The charmingly efficient kitchenette has everything you need and features high-end finishes with a granite counter, stainless table, Viking countertop quarter-size oven, (not huge - you can roast a chicken though), two built-in burners & a standard refrigerator. We supply All-Clad cookware, LeCreuset dinnerware, and absolutely everything you need in between. The surprisingly large bathroom has a stall shower and lots of storage next to the "European" style washer-dryer combo unit located within. Your bedroom is up a short flight of hardwood stairs in a cozy sleeping loft. The space fits a full-size mattress and, frankly, no larger. (Trust us, we've tried!) Therefore the space is only suited for one tenant. (And er, um, cover your ears Mother, "a guest.") We include really nice linens, duvets, pillows, and towels for your use, but this is fully optional. Outside your studio is a private terrace and walled garden shared with the main house, and by that we primarily mean our adorable corgi, Einstein. We rarely use the yard, leaving its use to you as you please. It has plenty of space to store a bike and even has a fire pit. Anything in the shed (grill, for example) is yours to use as is/are the kitchen herbs planted about. Have a green thumb? Giddy up!! I can definitely give you some bedding space for your planting if you want. We think you'll love the space, but maybe even the location even more! We're in leafy Hampton Park Terrace, which is a small and beautiful neighborhood that is nestled in between the #westside and #wagnerterrace neighborhoods, and only 4 houses from The Citadel. It is part of the larger area now known as #uptown It's peaceful, safe, and really kinda perfect. We'd love you to be our neighbor!
